Chido Nyaruwata is a passionate Afro-feminist Researcher, Consultant, and Digital Storyteller whose interests lies in Water & Health Rights, Climate Justice, SRHR in Southern Africa and African feminist literature.
Chido works closely with the Young Feminist Leadership Project and works with the AGI partners on a variety of projects and events. She is an alum of the Young Women’s Leadership Project and graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2020 with a master’s in international Relations. She also volunteers as a Youth Caucus steering committee Member of African Women’s Leaders Network, Zimbabwe chapter and a youth trainer for Youth4Planet and African Youth Initiative for Climate Change Zimbabwe. Throughout her creative and research work, she strives to amplify the voices and experiences of African girls and women. Her professional experience includes civil society organizations, think tanks and international organisations in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Japan. Prior to her role with the AGI, she was a Junior Fellow in the Office of the Rector, United Nations University.
